Slovenia addresses UNSC's open debate on Women and Peace and Security

New York, 24 June 2013 - CdA Marn addressed Security Council's debate on Women, Peace and Security earlier today. In his intervention he joined others in stressing the need for more accountability for perpetrators of hideous crimes of sexual and gender violence in conflict. He also recalled that women's rights play one of the key priorities of Slovenia at the UN and informed about the upcoming panel on international justice as a precondition for prosperous economic future at the upcoming Bled Strategic Forum, which will inter alia address also issue of sexual and gender violence.
